About Cao Lab
We are an environmental chemistry lab at Nankai University committed to excellence, integrity, and service. Our research focuses on the environmental behavior of emerging contaminants at complex interfaces, with the goal of developing innovative, scalable, and green remediation strategies to advance a sustainable society.
Dr. Tianchi Cao (曹天池) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at Nankai University. From 2020 to 2023, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Yale University, working with Prof. Menachem Elimelech. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Michal Borkovec. He received his B.Eng. in Polymer Materials and Engineering from Taiyuan University of Technology in 2011 and his M.Sc. in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014.
